The Flowing Laminated White Space

A Small House Design by Sheng-Hao Sun

In the design of this small house, Sheng-Hao Sun aimed to create visual richness and weaken the sense of building structure. The concept of stacking was used to enhance the sense of space hierarchy, while the floating concept added a touch of elegance.

The Flowing Laminated White Space features a unique design element where the naked structural beam seems merged into the laminated ceiling. This creates a sense of elegance and layering in the whiteness of the space. The use of oak, marble, black iron, and leather adds to the overall sophistication of the design.

Upon entering the house, a flowing atmosphere of lights and shadows greets residents. Opening the light on the hallway creates a delightful reminder of returning home. The gray dyed wood and gray stone on the TV wall showcase the different features of the materials. Granite lightboxes are arranged like lighting dots, filling the white space with a sense of atmosphere and flowing lights and shadows.

The dining area is adorned with wooden boxes, adding a touch of vibrancy to the room. Closing the curtains creates a peaceful environment, insulating any disturbances from the outside. A smooth leather material wall behind the bed enhances the sleeping environment, providing high quality and comfort.

The Flowing Laminated White Space is a testament to Sheng-Hao Sun's attention to detail and innovative design approach. The design creates a unique and elegant living space that prioritizes visual richness and a sense of hierarchy. It is a true reflection of the designer's vision and expertise.

This design was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2017. This prestigious award recognizes designs that exhibit strong technical and creative skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
